For administrative users, the CB Bridges platform will be used to facilitate the process of clinical placement requests, creation of clinical experiences and the creation of clinical schedules. What are the important dates and naming conventions that I need to enter?

  • All opportunities for undergraduate nursing students should be created by October 20th
  • The standard naming convention for all opportunities should follow the naming convention “Term / Year / Type of Student” (Ex. Spring 2018 RN)
  • Publish date should be set to October 30th
  • Availability Date should be entered as November 3rd
  • Schools will begin to request on November 3rd at 9:00 am and will have until November 10th at 5:00 pm to request their clinical placement

How do I create a Group Placement opportunity?

  • Access the Group Placement module by clicking on Clinical Placement and then Group Placement in the left-hand navigation bar.
  • From the Opportunities grid, select Create Opportunity from the Actions dropdown menu in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

  • Fill in the details of the new opportunity. This information will be shared with schools when open opportunities are viewed.
  • Fill in the Group Name with the naming convention “Term / Year / Type of Student” (Ex. Spring 2018 BSN)
  • Set a Publish Date. This is the date the opportunity becomes visible to school partners.
  • Set a Request Date. This is the date a partner school may submit a request for an open opportunity.
  • Click Create and the new opportunity will appear in the Opportunities grid.

What if I can take students from any school for a given opportunity? How do I show this when I'm creating opportunities?

You will create your opportunity like usual, as they inherently apply to any school.

How do I offer an opportunity to one school only?

There is no way to block certain schools from a particular opportunity but you can include the school name you wish to reserve in the opportunity name. This will deter other schools from making requests on your opportunity.

How do I indicate a particular date I cannot take students?

  • Once you have created your opportunity or when you view your opportunity you will be taken to a calendar view of it.
  • Click the X and it will produce a pop-up asking if you would like to delete the event.
  • Confirm to remove the selected day from your overall opportunity and keep schools from requesting the date.

How do I modify a request or reservation from a school if I can't take students on a day they requested?

  • Access the Group Placement module by clicking on Clinical Placement and then Group Placement in the left-hand navigation bar.
  • Click the Requests tab to access the Requests grid.
  • Click the Requests tab to access the Requests grid.
  • Click the Requests tab to access the Requests grid.
